AmSpec is the world's leading provider of testing, inspection, and certification services in a wide variety of industries including oil and petrochemicals, additives, and refineries. The company performs a range of analyses on various products, including biofuel, petroleum, petrochemicals, and agricultural commodities.
AmSpec tested the following fuel samples against UK/EU specifications both before and after adding the recommended dose of X-Carbon Boost:
· Diesel BS EN590
· Gasoline BS EN 228
· Kerosene BS 2869 C2
· Marine Gasoil ISO 8217 DMA
Results
AmSpec reported that after the addition of X-Carbon Boost to these fuel samples they still met the required specifications for these fuel types for the tests performed. It was noted that the fuel samples with X-Carbon remained fundamentally unchanged (within repeatability) from the untreated fuels.
Note: Fuel specifications are set to ensure that when they are met it is quality assured and will not cause harm or be unsafe when used in the appropriate engine.
Other test observations
AmSpec also observed that when X-Carbon was added to diesel there was increased lubricity (within repeatability). This was also reported in other companies’ tests, enabling cleaner and smoother running of engines, resulting in less wear and tear, lower maintenance costs and greater engine longevity.
In testing Kerosene with X-Carbon Boost, AmSpec noted a 50% reduction of “Char deposits” after burning for the samples tested, possibly indicating a lower level of air or oxygen normally contained in fuel. Other companies’ tests have also demonstrated X-Carbon’s ability to reduce the air entrained in fuel. With less air in fuel, there can be more complete combustion, resulting in greater efficiency and fewer carbon deposits, ensuring a cleaner engine, smoother running, and lower emissions.
RunGreen’s founder Neil Whitehead said:
“AmSpec is a world-respected testing and certification company for fuel, so we are pleased to add their positive test results of X-Carbon to our armoury of proof that X-Carbon is safe to use and does what it says on the bottle.
“These tests show that the addition of X-Carbon does not affect the required specification for Diesel, Gasoline (Petrol) and, for the first time of testing in the UK, Kerosene and Marine Gasoil.
“Moreover, we have conducted many X-Carbon trials on HGVs and cars over the last year, reporting improved fuel efficiencies of 18% to over 28%+, markedly improving their potential profits for their fleets with these significant cost savings. We are very excited about the outlook for X-Carbon and the increasing recognition of its impact on fuel efficiency, restoring engine performance, and cutting emissions.”
